The Groyne Series

A large gallery of paintings created mainly for Brighton's Open Houses Festival 2009. The paintings depict the kids that play on the groynes on Brighton beach in high summer. They aim to capture the movement and postures of the kids. The use of sillohettes against the blue sky and sea evokes the sense of the bright light of a summer's day on the beach.
